Surface Electro-Myograph, or SEMG, is a relatively new way to determine the health of your nervous system by detecting electrical impedence to the nerves. This helps the doctor understand a little more clearly the location and severity of nerve interference through subluxation, spasm and injury. It is utilized to help the doctor determine the best treatment protocol and method of care for your individual situation. Everyone is different and the SEMG helps determine your personal chiropractic needs. SEMG is included in the initial examination at no cost. Periodic scanning will help evaluate your progress and any need to alter your treatment program for the best outcome assesment.

Along with the SEMG is a Thermograph. This is very specific heat reading of your spinal regions. Disturbance of nerve flow from subluxation, spasm and/or injury will throw the circulatory system into disorder at the surface level. Thermography will measure dermal heat variances and graph them to determine alterations at different levels of the spine, surrounding tissues, and readings correlated from the right side of the body to the left side. It sounds very complicated but is a rather quick test to perform and, as with the SEMG, is totally painless.
